Uvea is the highly pigmented vascularised middle tissue sandwiched inside the eye between the inner neuro retina & outer sclera. Inflammations and infections of the uvea and sometimes metastasis of tumours causes the majority of diseases of the uvea. Most of the diseases are chronic and metamorphose even the clinical findings. Hence detailed old fashioned history taking & eye check-up point the direction of which lab and imaging tests should be done. Regular follow up and detailed documentation of findings each time helps to prevent vital findings or transient masquerades that may be missed. Most cases need a multidisciplinary team to watch and manage treatment.
